Local Curiosities: Part Four

The Lost Barrio is Discovered

On a tiny street off of the bustling downtown stretch of Broadway Blvd. lies the appropriately named “Lost Barrio.” In the midst of factories and industrial buildings you will discover a stretch of high-end antique shops and other fine artisans selling beautiful, one-of-a-kind wares (and if you get peckish after several hours of shopping, local favorite Tooley’s Cafe is nestled right in the middle of it all.) And it’s not just the things inside these stores that are pretty to look at; the storefronts themselves offer up plenty of eye-candy. Once again, my lovely friend Jennifer Lamour captured some of the delectable colors and textures found in The Lost Barrio. We hope these photographs inspire you to take a trip to one of Tucson’s hidden gems.

  1. I absolutely love your idea with the various textures to be found downtown. It’s very unique.

  2. Thanks, Katie! If you haven’t been to The Lost Barrio or if it’s been a while, I definitely recommend swinging by and taking in all the beauty.
